Pistol Fundamentals

This course establishes the foundation of combat-effective pistol shooting. Built on the True North Hierarchy of Combat Shooting, students develop grip, trigger control, visual discipline, and consistency through structured, accountability-driven drills.

Concealed Carry Pistol

Designed for the responsibly armed citizen, this course focuses on real-world defensive application. Students train from concealment, refine draw stroke mechanics, and engage targets under realistic conditions.

Tactical Pistol

M4 / Optics Group & Zero

This course focuses on establishing a precise, reliable zero while reinforcing proper rifle fundamentals. Students learn body positioning, natural point of aim, and shot accountability before confirming zero at distance.

Instruction includes trajectory, offset, and practical application of holds—ensuring shooters understand both the weapon system and their own performance.

Red Dot Transition

$300

This course is designed to efficiently transition shooters from iron sights to a pistol-mounted red dot optic. Instruction focuses on proper presentation, rapid dot acquisition, and visual discipline—eliminating the common issues that slow shooters down when first adopting a red dot.

Students will confirm a true zero, understand offset and holdover, and build consistent performance through structured drills that reinforce accountability and efficiency.

This is not a gear class—it is a performance course built to make the shooter capable with the system.

What you’ll learn:

  •   Proper presentation to the dot (no “searching”)
  •   Dot acquisition and recovery under recoil
  •   Zero confirmation (15-yard standard with 25-yard validation)
  •   Offset and holdover at close distances
  •   Visual discipline and tracking

Prerequisite:

Completion of Pistol Fundamentals or equivalent experience.

Brett Paul brings years of experience in firearms instruction to his classes. His focus is on safety and proficiency.

Brett Paul

Founder | Lead Instructor

Brett Paul is a retired Command Sergeant Major with 30 years of service in the United States Army, spanning both Active Duty and the National Guard. His career includes service with 3/325 Infantry and 1/508 Infantry in Vicenza, Italy; the 82nd Airborne Division at Fort Bragg; Company H, 121st Infantry (Airborne – Long Range Surveillance); and the 48th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, where he culminated his career as the Brigade Command Sergeant Major.

Brett deployed in support of operations in Bosnia, Africa, Iraq, and Kosovo, serving in leadership and operational roles across a wide range of mission sets.

He spent many years as a certified Army instructor, teaching in the Airborne Course, Jumpmaster Course, and multiple specialized programs both in uniform and later as a contractor. His instructional experience includes the MC-6 Parachute Jumpmaster Transition Course, Land Warrior System, and the Army’s Short Range Marksmanship Course, among others. He is an Army-certified Range Safety Officer and Close Quarters Marksmanship Instructor, and has contributed to the development of multiple periods of instruction, including key elements of the Short Range Marksmanship program.
